Legacies

We understand your loved ones come first, but leaving a gift to support the work of missionaries can touch the lives of many

"I wish to extend to you my sincere gratitude for your gift. I am in Brazil (Sao Paulo) almost 34 years working in health and pastoral care, more specifically during the last 20years with children and teenagers with intellectual and physical disabilities. We call our house here 'The nest of hope' based on the idea of the preciousness of everyone and each one. The gift may seem small to some but to us it is a windfall and will change lives. God Bless you."

Why make a will?

Making a will is often the best and simplest way of ensuring your assets go the people and causes most important to you. Having a will in place makes life easier for those left behind, and helps eliminate misunderstandings.

Considering to remember a charity can bring real peace of mind. Through your gift you can reach out to those who will need the help of missionaries in the future.

What does your gift mean?

Your gift can be used in many ways to improve the lives of adults and children living in mission countries. Your gift will:

  • Contribute to the training of young priests, laity and catechists
  • Build simple mission churches and pastoral centres
  • Raise awareness and educate others about the vital work of missionaries
  • Build health clinics for children
  • Improve education opportunities for children
  • Assist missionaries in their efforts to care for refugees and displaced persons
  • Provide emergency aid in times of war or natural disaster

Our Commitment to You

Leaving a gift in your will is a decision you will want to take time to think about and make sure you are comfortable with the final outcome. If you are considering leaving a gift to World Missions, Ireland or any of the individual Societies you may like to read our document: Our Promise to You
