 The Diocese of Pekhon

Star of Evangelization Minor Seminary

Many thanks for your great consideration and kindness to our seminary. Currently, there are 104 seminarians in the academic year of 2010/11. The funds we received mainly went towards the fundamental costs of running this seminary, which include study materials, food (rice), curry (meat/vegetables), fire-wood, teacher's salaries, medical fees, transportation, books, magazines and a variety of miscellaneous items.

We are very grateful to your kindness and of your thoughtfulness to us. We promise to express our simple gratitude to you in our daily prayer, especially on the Holy Alter of Our Lord. I pray that God may abundantly bless you. Below is the writing of the head seminarian:

"I am James Angel Saw James. I take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude to you and all our beloved benefactors for you prayer, sacrifice and financial support for our seminary.

The number of candidates is increasing yearly, and the livelihood becomes harder and harder. For everything we rely much on God and his divine providence through your bounty and kindness. All of us, the Diocese, the staff and seminarians are very grateful to you and World Missions Ireland for the substantial help granted to us. We keep you dearly in our daily Mass and prayers for you and all beloved benefactors. May the good Lord bless your apostolic work and missionary zeal with special blessings and abundant grace."
